About Us
Heather Knowles | Registered Architect
Enhancing lives through purposeful design: This is the thread of meaning that runs throughout Heather’s work. Her projects include both renovations and newly constructed homes for clients who value fine details and holistic design services from concept to completion. With a process that is built on a strong, personal collaboration with the client, she is attentive to unique family cultures and their modus operandi. For her, harmonizing beauty and order is the path to creating a home that is both livable and captivating. Heather designs homes with a comprehensive approach by developing the exterior and interior architecture simultaneously, carefully considering how someone experiences the home and its surroundings. The end result is a beautiful home that conveys the warmth and personality of her clients and supports their life therein. To help clients complete a cohesive vision for their homes, Heather enjoys partnering with a range of industry professionals from interior designers to landscape architects and artisans.
Heather grew up on construction sites all over North Alabama with her dad, developing an appreciation for the team that it takes to transform plans on paper into physical buildings. This experience has led to a process that prioritizes every person that helps craft her clients’ homes. Cultivating collaborative relationships with the entire project team results in a more coordinated and pleasant project delivery for the client. Heather emphasizes fine craftsmanship and timeless materials as it promotes the stewardship of resources through crafting buildings that last.
Heather graduated summa cum laude from Auburn University in 2006 with dual degrees in Architecture and Interior Architecture. After living in Charlotte, Birmingham, and the Bahamas, Heather and her husband Jeremy have now happily settled in to small town living in Northeast Alabama with their three children. While Gadsden, Alabama is home, she enjoys working for wonderful clients all across the northern half of the state. From the Birmingham and Mountain Brook area to all the communities and lakes of Northeast Alabama, she is thrilled with the opportunity to create beautiful places for families to delight in for generations to come.
